UCAT Prep: Establish your personal scoring goals

UCAT Prep: Establish your personal scoring goals

2 years ago by Rob

Your main goal should be to maximise your potential on the actual UCAT test. Very few students get every question right. You have to be realistic. Strive to work within your own abilities.

Students often ask: How does my practice test performance translate to how I will perform on the actual UCAT test?

Questions are “graded” for difficulty throughout the MedEntry UCAT prep tests and in the actual test in July. In order to get a high score (of above 95th percentile) generally you have to be nearly perfect on the easy questions, score at least 80 percent on the hard questions, 70 percent on the Very hard questions and approximately 60 percent on the extremely hard questions. This, of course, is an approximate guide.

Another indicator of how well you fare on the actual exam is how you perform in the MedEntry UCAT prep tests. You will get better with more practises through the MedEntry UCAT prep.

Preparation through steady practice is the only honest avenue to achieving your potential in the UCAT.
